Transition Into Winter

November Is Here ...

The temperatures are dropping, clocks went back, dark evenings are here and we all know and feel that winter is coming ...

This is when my hibernation instinct usually starts to kick in ...

There's a chance that in a previous life I was a little hedgehog curled-up under a pile of dried leaves for warmth throughout winter.

In my very much human form, this time of year is when I know I have to step-up and keep moving.

  • I need to keep moving or I'll stiffen up.
  • I need to keep moving or my old injuries will raise their heads.
  • I need to keep moving or there's a chance I'll be saying goodbye to my neck and my waist from constantly shielding myself from the cold.

All of the above will make me feel even more miserable.

It's bad enough that the weather is crap and personally I don't want to add more misery to my life ...

YES, It's hard sometimes to get active when it's cold:
it's too cold, too wet, too windy too harsh! Pulling away from the duvet, away from the fire place and warmth can definitely be a struggle. BUT I know this:

Committing to being active (and/or make some changes to my activities) pulls me through the cold season!!!

To keep us moving beautifully through the next couple of months and avoid the stiffness and aching joints, November-December Courses are ready for you to join.

 

Our gorgeous Anne is going to be colder then we are!

Anne is away participating in a Dance Project back in her hometown of Ottawa in Canada. She'll be back with us in January 2020 and until then join me in wishing her some great dancing, amazing performances and warm thoughts. Looking forward to your return Anne!

So for the next 5-6 weeks you'll be moving with me (Aoife). Together we can avoid that stiffness, aching joints and winter misery - Right? Hell Yeah!!
