Our Pre/Post Natal Pilates classes are an hour long & limited to 6 done on the Reformers. Classes designed to accommodate the anatomical changes and joints stress of pregnancy.

Carefully planned, following ACOG Exercise During Pregnancy classes target specific muscles affected by postural changes of pregnancy.

Pre-Natal Pilates suitable from 12 weeks.

GP/Midwife consent required prior to attending Pre/Post Natal Pilates class.

Pilates is one of the safest and most effective forms of exercise you could do while pregnant and postpartum!

Non-aerobic & gentle, Pilates is perfectly suited to help the body through pregnancy, prepare for labour and assist in recovery after giving birth. Pilates Studio Kildare is the first studio in Kildare to offer group Pre/Post Natal Pilates on the Reformer.  We also offer group Pre/Post Natal Pilates Mat Classes

Our Pre Natal Pilates classes are specially designed to accommodate the anatomical changes and joints stress of pregnancy.
Classes are carefully planned, following ACOG ‘Exercise During Pregnancy’ guidelines, to target specific muscles weakened or tighten from postural changes during pregnancy while strengthening & stretching the body.

Pre Natal Pilates classes focus on maintaining physical strength and proper alignment for a more comfortable pregnancy while preparing the body for delivery.

Pre Natal Pilates on the Reformer:

The Pilates Reformer is a bed like apparatus made up of a sliding carriage controlled by a system of springs, straps and pulleys providing support and controlled movement for the body, which is why it is the perfect way to exercises during pregnancy.

With fine-tuned spring resistance the Reformer allows precise work to develop good alignment, core strength and flexibility safely.

Benefits of Pre-Natal Pilates on the Reformer:

Spine and Pelvic Stability
The Reformer places emphasis on restoring spine alignment and improving stability and mobility in the lumbo-pelvic region.

Controlled Movement
On the Reformer, the gliding carriage allows movement through a full but carefully controlled range of motion while keeping the arms and legs grounded.

Increase Postural Awareness
The Reformer helps establish torso stability and correct postural alignment while working the deep muscles that support the body during pregnancy.

Strengthening the body
Reformer exercises work the deep abdominals, pelvic floor, arms, legs and shoulders without stress, tension or impact. Exercises on the Reformer can be done sitting, lying, kneeling and standing.
